NEW ERA in Pavement Design has come to Australia with the release of the 2017 edition of the, Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology: Part 2: Pavement Structural Design. The most extensive update to the Guide in more than a decade has significantly changed the way in which designers develop next generation pavement engineering solutions. Changes to the Guide have been incorporated into various CPEE Short Courses. Don't miss this chance to enhance your knowledge and skills!
This one-day course provides delegates with an understanding of the theoretical basis of mechanistic pavement design methods and is a hands-on course with each student having access to a PC loaded with the CIRCLY program.
The course is offered as a single day for those who are well versed and practiced in pavement design, or who have completed any of the past CPEE two-day Flexible Pavement Design courses, or for those who have, or are attending any of the con- current “Flexible Pavement Design – Principles & Practice” 2-day course.
The CIRCLY Pavement Design software is the core of the flexible pavement design methodology defined by the AUSTROADS Guide to Pavement Technology– Part 2: Pavement Structural Design (the Guide) is regarded as a primary reference source. CIRCLY is a proven design tool used over the past two decades in thousands of design applications world-wide. CIRCLY aids those involved in designing, constructing and using pavements.
CIRCLY 7.0 allows a major advancement in pavement design: a fully integrated system with superior design power & ease of use. CIRCLY 7.0 has many time saving features such as an automatic thickness design capability that can save hours on a typical design job. A Parametric Analysis feature can loop through a range of thicknesses for one or two layers, while simultaneously designing the thickness of another layer. This feature will optimise up to three layers. Combining this with a Cost Analysis feature, allows for fine-tuning of layer thicknesses to minimise construction and maintenance costs.
Payment is required 14 days from date of invoice. All payment must made prior to commencement of course.
This two day short course is ideal for those seeking a working understanding on public space lighting design and practice and is suitable for engineers and engineering technologists, project managers and senior supervisors and operations personnel working for federal, state, or local authorities, consultants and contractors.More Information
An intensive two day short course ideal for engineers and engineering technologists working for federal, state, or local authorities, consultants and contractors. This course is ideal for those involved in non highway roads and pavements, and for those involved in local government work, and provides the pre-requisite learning for those wishing to undertake the Advanced Pavement Design course.More Information
This two day short course ideal for engineers and engineering technologists working for federal, state, or local authorities, consultants and contractors. This course is ideal for those involved in the design and construction of roads and pavements where heavier traffic and loads may be encountered.More Information
A two day short course, focusing on bituminous surfacing maintenance & rehabilitation, is ideal for engineers and engineering technologists, project managers, senior supervisors and works managers working for federal, state, or local government, consultants and contractors.More Information
Level: Intermediate – Advanced. This 1.5 day short course, focusing on recognising and understanding the various defects that arise over time with bituminous surfacing. Exploring and assessing the maintenance options is the primary focus however rehabilitation is briefly covered to provide a complete picture, thus the course is ideal for senior supervisors and works managers, engineers and engineering technologists and project managers, working for local government, or state/federal agencies, consultants and contractors.More Information
This short Course is ideal for those seeking a working understanding on stabilisation and is suitable for engineers and engineering technologists, project managers and senior supervisors and operations personnel working for federal, state, or local government, consultants and contractors.More Information
This one day course is primarily concerned with providing delegates with the knowledge, and practical understanding, to enable full evaluation of maintenance options, and their most beneficial use. The importance, and types of maintenance, pavement distress modes and evaluation techniques are reviewed and preventative and periodic maintenance options will be fully explored and detailed.More Information
