Kym Neaylon

Kym is supported by over 20 years of on-site sprayed sealing and road maintenance field experience in State Road Agency, followed by 20 years of national-level research experience, international consultancy experience, and teaching at postgrad level. Supplementing his strong practical and extensive field experience, he has also completed the only PhD in Australia in the field of sprayed sealing / chip seals.

He has held senior roles for over 25 years in editorial and strategic committees for Austroads and is past Chairman of the Australian Standards committee for bitumen and related products.

He is a steering committee member on university led research groups in the UK and Australia.

Expert services that he provides include: challenging commissions in the field of bituminous road surfacings; peer review of seal designs; forensic and failure investigations; expert opinion in bituminous surfacings prior to mediation and expert reports as evidence in court proceedings.
