Tony Bergen

Tony is a physicist who has been working in the field of photometry in the lighting sector for over 25 years.  He manages the NATA-accredited Australian Photometry and Radiometry Laboratory, and is also Technical Director of Photometric Solutions International, an Australian company which designs and manufactures testing and measurement equipment for the lighting industry.

Tony is Vice-President Technical of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE).  He has co-authored over 20 CIE publications and contributed many published papers and magazine articles, and in 2023 he was presented with the De Boer Gold Pin Distinguished Services Award, the highest honour awarded by the CIE.  Tony also serves as President of the Metrology Society of Australasia and serves on three Standards Australia committees.
