The primary purpose of the workshop is to assist in the efficient management of unsealed road pavements. As well as addressing the fundamentals, advice is provided on design issues, improving material properties, construction and operational aspects.

Primary Presenter

Paul Robinson, Highway Maintenance Specialist, WSP Australia - VIC

Paul has a Master’s Degree in International Highway Engineering and an international career in road pavements technology, maintenance management, highway network planning, design, sealed and unsealed pavements and road construction, maintenance and training.  As a Principal Research and Consulting Engineer with ARRB, he undertook research, developed Austroads guidelines and presented training in Unsealed Roads Maintenance, Pavement Rehabilitation, Pavement Condition Management, Road Maintenance Management and Project Delivery. He was a contributory author to the ARRB Sealed and Unsealed Roads Manuals.  He also has international experience in road engineering and network maintenance management, notably in developing countries of the Asia Pacific region.
