The Workshop is offered for those who are well versed and practised in pavement design or who have completed the CPEE Flexible Design BOUND course.
The CIRCLY Pavement Design software is the core of the flexible pavement design methodology defined by the AUSTROADS Guide to Pavement Technology – Part 2: Pavement Structural Design (the Guide) which is regarded as a primary reference source. CIRCLY is a proven design tool used over the past two decades in thousands of design applications world-wide. CIRCLY aids those involved in designing, constructing and using pavements.
CIRCLY 7.0 allows a major advancement in pavement design: a fully integrated system with superior design power & ease of use. CIRCLY 7.0 has many time saving features such as an automatic thickness design capability that can save hours on a typical design job and these will be elaborated on during the Workshop.

Leigh developed CIRCLY, the Windows-based package that can analyse a range of load types acting on layered elastic systems. Leigh joined CSIRO Division of Geomechanics in 1970 after qualifying in Applied Mathematics & Physics from Monash University. Over the 18 years of his career with CSIRO he worked on numerical stress analysis techniques. In 1988 Leigh formed Mincad Systems, a company specialising in numerical stress analysis for the civil and mining industries and since 1993 has specialised in pavement applications. In 2018, version 7.0 of Circly was released.

Ken is experienced in a range of numerical modelling packages in the field of geomechanics and geotechnical engineering.
Due to its practical nature, numbers are limited for this course so it is advisable that you register quickly to avoid missing out on its unique and targeted content.
